I don't wave a lot of flags, but one that I believe is very important is that AI has nothing to do with human cognition. Words that describe computer organization (processor, memory, data structure,...) are completely inappropriate when talking about how we think. So I strongly disagree with most AI theorists. AI is simply advanced programming techniques. It is no more artificial than any computer code, and no more intelligent than a silicon chip. |

I did a study of AI Modeling for design, but it is dated. After surveying potential AI Procedures, I made predictions about how hard each would be to achieve, and when we might achieve them. In general, the achievable techniques now sound antiquated, the difficult techniques are still on the forefront of AI research, and the impossible techniques are still impossible.
